Board Hears Cafeteria Improvements --
The meeting the Glen Cove Board of Education on Nov. 15 began with a presentation by Kim Tortora, director of food services for the district. Ms. Tortora gave examples, and samples, of innovative edible ideas being implemented in school cafeterias to make the school lunch program more efficient, economical and appealing to students.

Congratulations to the 2004 Glen Cove Girls Varsity Soccer team on making its first playoff appearance in over 10 years. The girls finished with a 7-3-2 record in their conference and earned the respect of some powerhouse teams in their conference including Mineola and Roslyn.

The North Shore High School varsity football team completed its second consecutive winning season with a 33-6 victory over West Hempstead High School. The Vikings scored a whopping 236 points this season.
