Eileen M. Gaffney (nee Wolfe), 82, formerly of Locust Valley, died suddenly on April 5, 2004. She was predeceased by her husband Terence F. by one week. Mother of Margaret M., Terence F. Jr. (Carolyn), Thomas E. (Gail), Joseph P. (Bernadette) and Eileen M. Appel (Phillip). Sister of Jack (Florence), Margaret Mary, Edward (Barbara), Thomas (Ursula) and Joseph (Fran). Grandmother of Michael, Caitlin, T.J., Sarah, Claire, Brian, Kevin and Kathleen. Arrangements were made by the Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Mass at St. Gertrude's RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Joseph's College, Brookyn, NY, or St. Gertrude's Food Pantry. A Memorial Mass is planned for the late Terence and Eileen on May 1 at St. Gertrude's RC Church at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.

Rocco (Rocky) D'Amelio, 57, of Glen Cove, died peacefully on April 5, 2004 with his family by his side. Husband of Barbara (nee Puco). Father of Donna (Kevin) and Crissi (Patrick). Stepfather of Alan (Justine). Brother of Philomena (Carl) and the late Josephine (Claude). Grandfather of Breanna, Matthew, Austin, Riely and Leah Rose. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Service at St. Rocco's RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.

William C. Dawes Sr., formerly of Glen Cove, died on April 7, 2004. Husband of the late Rosemarie. Father of Tricia, Carol, William Jr., Stephen, Thomas and Janet. Grandfather of 17. Brother of Jim (Barbara). He is also survived by his first wife Ann Dawes. Arrangements were made by the Whitting Funeral Home, Glen Head. Funeral service at St. Anne's RC Church, Brentwood. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Bay Shore.

Nicholas P. Gaglio, 92, of Bayside, Queens, died on April 9, 2004. He was a WWII Navy veteran. Husband of Anne and the late Paul. Grandfather of Jared Michael. Arrangements were made by the Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Prayer service at the funeral home. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.

Salvatore Giordano, of Sea Cliff, died on April 10, 2004. Husband of Josephine. Father of Vincent (Beatrice), Louis, Joan (Brian) and Donna. Grandfather of Jacquie (John), Marc (Felicia), Ellen and Brian. Great-grandfather of Madeline, John, James, Victoria and Caroline. Arrangements were made by the Whitting Funeral Home, Glen Head. Funeral Mass at St. Boniface Martyr Church. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to St. Boniface Martyr Church, Sea Cliff, NY.
