General Meyer served in the USAF for 35 years. He received his wings and was commissioned a 2nd Lt. in 1942. During his career he served as the commander of the 4118th Operations Squadron during the Korean Conflict, 303rd Bombardment Wing, Stategic Air Command, 106th Military Airlift Wing during the Vietnam War.
