For the last few weeks I have been noticing all the bumper stickers and signs supporting the new Republican team in the upcoming Glen Cove elections. Although the names are familiar to me, I still was looking forward to meeting them in person and getting to know them face to face. Last evening the team came to my door and I was very impressed indeed.

Jed Morey is just the kind of person our city needs in the mayor's office at this critical time in our history. Besides being young and energetic, he is a fresh face on the political scene and will be beholden to no one but the citizens of Glen Cove. Jed's resume is impressive. Unlike some politicians who just claim to have a business background. Mr. Morey earned an MBA from Hofstra and is CEO of a large media company. His running mates complement the ticket with an impressive mix of academic accomplishments and real world experience. Most of all, I was impressed with the fact that these seven personable and successful people are sacrificing so much time and energy in order to be given the opportunity to serve the people of Glen Cove.
