Upon his retirement he enjoyed traveling and cruising with his wife and basking in the Florida sunshine. An avid sports fan, his dream was fulfilled when he watched "his" Tampa Bay Buccaneers win the Super Bowl this year. On July 5, 2003, he celebrated his 80th birthday with a gala celebration at his home attended by many family and friends, both near and far.
