During the week of July 4, three local Glen Cove boys were setting off their own style of fireworks, using baseball mitts and bats. Kyle Hansen, Brian Pascucci and Max Tecce took their baseball skills to Cooperstown, NY, where they played with the Long Island Angels 12-year-old travel baseball team. Facing teams from Tennessee, Ohio, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Utah, the boys made it to the playoffs and beat the Canadian team they faced in the first round. In a 10-inning game later that day, the Angels suffered a heart-breaking loss to end their winning streak.

It was a wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime experience for the boys, who were presented with Cooperstown Little Majors Hall of Fame rings at the end of the week, as well as being inducted into the Cooperstown Little Majors Hall of Fame. Many local fans were along to cheer the boys on, including Steven Nassani, Nick Tecce, Amanda Pascucci and Jamie Pascucci.

Congratulations on a job well done! Glen Cove is very proud to have local boys in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
