Dr. Thomas J. Chenault, of New Port Richey, FL, formerly of Glen Head, died on June 13, 2003. Dr. Chenault, a graduate of NY Institute of Technology and Eastern Chiropractic College of Indiana, practiced chiropractic in Glen Head for 30 years until his retirement. He was also the former president of the Chiropractic Association of NY and on the state board of directors. He leaves his wife, Laverne; daughters, Diane Rafferty, Karen Fitzpatrick and Deidre Buzzetto; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. A memorial service will be held Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. at the Glenwood Presbyterian Church, 71 Grove St., Glenwood Landing. A reception will follow. Charles Tiffany Richardson, 86, of Glen Cove, formerly of Lattingtown and Greenwich, CT, died on July 11, 2003. He was a member of St. Paul's School of Concord, NH, Class of 1935 and a graduate of Harvard Class of 1939, Phi Beta Kappa. A WWII US Navy Captain, he was a former partner of Auerbach, Pollack and Richardson in Panama. Father of Schuyler and Amado Santos. Grandfather of Charles T. Edmonds and Amado K. Santos. Louis Chapman, a lifelong resident of Glen Cove, lost a long battle to cancer on July 16, 2003. He was born Dec. 4, 1916. He was a gentle man who never met a stranger. He served in the US Navy from 1942 to 1945. His greatest love, after his wife of 48 years, Helen, was golf. He was a very talented golfer. He is survived by his wife Helen of Glen Cove; two brothers, George Chapman of Sea Cliff and Thomas Morris of Lloyds Harbor; a stepdaughter, Barbara Crawford of Mercer Island Washington; a niece, Jean Herold of Levittown; a nephew, Richard Chapman of Farmingdale; four granddaughters, Laura Crawford of Mukilteo, WA, Maureen Crawford of Seattle, WA, Claudia Kibreath of Seattle and Annmarie Lyons of Cincinnati, OH; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass was held at St. Patrick's Church on July 18 with burial at Holy Rood Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to hospice.

Fran, of Great Neck, beloved wife of the late Gus Hament, passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2003. She leaves behind her children, Tina, Winnie, Billy (predeceased her), Daniel, Nancy and Barbara and an extended family of spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and unofficial foster children and an abundance of adoring friends.
Fran was a woman with an open heart who adopted a lot of people along the way. She had a style all her own. Her warmth of spirit pervaded a life full of everyday experiences. At every opportunity, she turned toward life, toward her family and especially toward people who needed her gentle manner and deep wisdom. There was always "room for one more" in Fran's world. She will be sorely missed by the lives she shared and touched.
The family will sit Shiva at the home of Tina Hament and Patrick Sidestri in Glen Cove.
