William J. Siegfried, of Glen Cove, died on Oct. 15, 2002. He was born in Brooklyn on May 31, 1917. Bill was a decorated naval veteran who served on the legendary carrier Bunker Hill in the Pacific. He retired to Glen Cove in 1982 after a career as a NYC police detective. Bill and his wife served 10 years as volunteers at North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove. Husband of the late Helen Olga. Father of Joan Konig and William Jr. Brother of Rose Kane. Father-in-law of Dr. Arnold Konig. Grandfather of Michael and Tamara Konig.
