Nick Manzione had the game winning RBI in extra innings for the Storm. Chris Theodorou also collected three hits for the team. Christian Ring on the mound, Theodorou at shortstop and Manzione at catcher made sparkling defensive plays.

Nick Manzione homered, Justin Esquilin tripled and Scott Nicolich contributed two hits and two RBIs as Kevin Martinez and Matteo Gaudio played great defense for the Storm. The Storm's win propelled them into the World Series.

An excellent double play was made by Christian Garcia to Dan Whitely at first base. Other defense plays were made by Dan Lynch, Antwan Brown and Harry Della Ferra for the Sea Dogs, despite their season-ending loss to the Aeros. Whitely, Peter Duffy and Nicholas Pedraita led the offensive attack for the Sea Dogs.

Gregory Bonanza's two-run homer was the highlight in the Sea Dogs' 14-run seventh inning. Shant Kouyoudjian had an RBI triple as Dave Kilkenny had an RBI double. Lynch tripled for two RBIs.

Joseph Florentino, Billy Flahive and Esquilin had three hits apiece while Cristian Moza added two hits. Nicolich and Esquilin played excellent defense for the Storm.

Daniel Valeo had a two RBI single that broke open a close game. Christian Prizcak drove in three other runs as Kevin Nicholas and Nick Comitino contributed RBIs. Valeo, Priczak and Milo Duchnowski also handled the pitching in two crucial innings for the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks were scheduled to meet the Giambrone Angels as this article went to press.

The pitching staff of Brian Merrick, James Leahy and Gabby Lebron combined to strike out 11 batters. They also got timely hitting from Connoy Conway (double and single), Lebron (two singles, two RBIs) and Leahy who homered for two RBIs. Stephen Suozzi laid down two beautiful bunts for an RBI. The Padres also got good defense from Brian Merrick who threw out runners to third (Frank Monaco) and shortstop (Suozzi) on attempted steals. Conway, Ariel Bresky, Chris Silva and Patrick Shaughnessy made great plays in the outfield for the Padres.

Mike Bruschini had three hits and two RBIs while Dennis Grabowski singled and had one RBI. The Yankees came from behind a 5-3 deficit to take a 6-5 lead, but Mookie Lofton's catch of Grabowski's line drive turned the game around and sparked the Marlins to their win over the Yankees.

The Padres pulled off a comeback win despite being down 9-1 in the bottom of the fifth. In two successive innings, the Padres scored nine runs and shutout the Athletics the rest of the way. Lebron homered for his only hit of the game while Leahy and Merrick split eight strikeouts.

Natasha Pajovic hit a grandslam round tripper and Nicole DiGiovanni added three hits in their win versus the Marlins. Yankees player Ali Sorrento converted a double play early in the first inning to Emily Leahy at first base.

Kelly Deangelis fanned 13 batters and allowed only three hits for the team's win. DeAngelis also helped her own pitching cause, collecting three hits and scored two runs while Jamie Downer had two hits, including a homer, and scored a run for the A's. Christina Abbondandolo, Christina Trotta and Michele Peet had a hit apiece in the A's win. DeAngelis also stole home twice and Jessica Peet also stole home. Peet also played well in the infield at second base.
