As a veteran, I was disappointed to read the American Red Cross is going to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to ensure that all detainees are being treated properly. Well, excuse me. These detainees are part of the group that wants to destroy America and kill as many Americans as possible.

They are now in a free country getting the best health care they have ever had, receiving three square meals a day and the comfort of shelter rather than a mountain or rock.

These bums, killers, terrorists, filthy scums are being treated better than our Veterans who fought for their country and were let down by the United States government.

My question is, why isn't the American Red Cross looking into that situation? Veterans do not get three meals a day or have health care or even sleep on a cot (folding bed) such as these "detainees." Now whenever I receive a notice in the mail from the American Red Cross, it is going right into the garbage. In fact, when I get a notice from American Red Cross, I will put a copy of this letter in their envelope instead of a donation. Then maybe they can send our veterans to Guantanamo Bay to get the rightfully deserved care that is due them.
