Does it matter there are so many unemployed?

Does it matter at the loss of life in the World Trade Center?

Does it matter that families are suffering the loss of loved ones?

Does it matter if they are in debt due to that loss?

Those on Social Security get a COLA raise, Jan. 3. We have to take what we get, and be satisfied. So, why does Congress give themselves another big raise? Why did the president give federal employees a raise?

At a time when there is such a need financially to get these families the help they need so badly this slowed up process.

Let Congress hang their heads in shame. The greedy light is shining on them ever so brightly.

If their wages are not enough, they should quit. Get another job. Money is being wasted every year on projects in their states. They are not so poor and desperate, that they need a raise.

We, the people, are not blind or deaf. The information is on TV and in the newspapers.

Better to spare and share. Get their states out of debt.

Refuse the increase.

How many agree that Congress should get a raise?

Write and tell them. They are working for us, and not to fill their pockets with greenbacks.

Write them. Do we always get a reply? Not often. We're pleased that some do care and take time to reply.

Maybe their pay raises could reduce the national debt if they handed it back.
