On Thursday, December 27, the Big Red Winter Track and Field Teams went to the NYC Armory on 168th Street in Manhattan and competed in the Armory Holiday Relays. Glen Cove only ran in the 4x200m relay and the long jump relay. The boys team had a great time of 1:45.1 for the A team of Bel Lowell (27), Tin Chin (26), Tony Condello (26), Miguel Quinones (26). It was the second fastest time for the boys this season and it was good enough to win the heat. The B team of Drew Beisler (27), Mike Biscardi (31), Casey Paganetti (31), Allen Shin (28) ran a fast time of 1:56.7. For the Girls the a team of Giovanna Condello (29), Jasmine Thompson (32), Eunice Jin (33), Amanda Moretto (29) ran a season's best time of 2:03.4 and came in third in the heat. They also qualified for the County Championships. The B team of Sam Renison (32), Becky Kelly (32), Katelyn Kelly Johnson (36) and Lucia Son (32) ran a time of 2:14.1 and was 4th in their heat. In the Long jump Relay Will Ng (16). The next meet is Jan. 5 at the Manhattan 168th Street Armory for a full day of the Hispanic Games.
