The inaugural meeting of the Gold Coast Public Library District Board of Trustees will come to order at 8 p.m. on Jan. 3 in the library of the North Shore High School, 450 Glen Cove Avenue, Glen Head.

By public referendum, on Dec. 4, 2001, voters approved creation of the Gold Coast Public Library District, elected nine Trustees, and approved an initial budget of $800,000, said monies to be levied in January, 2003.

The district consists of that portion of the North Shore Public School District not served by the Sea Cliff Library.

The members of the Gold Coast Library District Board of Trustees are Nancy Benchimol, Patrice Benneward, Patricia A. Daley, Kevin Glassman, Amalie Kempton, Stephen A. Muth Jr., Barbara Palermo,Rosemarie Ryba and Miles Sibell.
