Opportunity came knocking for Glen Cove High School senior Joanna Moccia during the softball early signing period. One evening last month, Joanna chose to accept a softball scholarship to play for nationally ranked Division II C.W. Post College. After narrowing down her choices and spending two days on a NCAA official visit, Joanna decided that what Post had to offer her both academically and athletically was the right choice for her. Joann currently has a 92 GPA and has been a varsity starter since the eighth grade. She is a two-time All County selection with her senior softball year still ahead. Dedicating her summers to seven years of travel, softball has certainly paid off for her.

Joanna plans on majoring in sports management and athletic training. Congratulations, Joanna, you've made us very proud and good luck in all your future endeavors.
