Elfriede Herta Wienert, wife of the late Fritz O. Wienert, died on Nov. 9, 2001. Mrs. Wienert, formerly of Lewiston, NY, had resided in Huntington for the past two years. She is survived by daughters Helgard Wienert of Paris, France, Claudia Moyne and son-in-law John Moyne of Sea Cliff; grandchildren Nicholas and Parvin; nephew Manfred (Virginia) Maikler of Chicago, IL, Sigrid, Maren and Ute Petrich and Gerda, Lutz, Immo and Birgit Rathchke of Germany. A memorial service will be held in Sea Cliff at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.
Frances Marra, formerly of Glen Cove, died on Nov. 21, 2001. Wife of the late Orlando. Mother of Jeanette Douso (Joseph), Liz James, Michael (Susan), Daniel and Anthony. Sister of Eugenia Wesch. James Durant, 93, of Glen Cove, died on Nov. 25, 2001. Brother of Martha Allman, Sarah Solomon and Theola Miller. Good friend of Martha Reese. Irma Joy Carisi, 77, of Glen Cove, died on Nov. 26, 2001. Irma worked as an administrative assistant at Jakobson's Shipyard in Oyster Bay. She was the wife of the late Vincent. Tobias Andersen, of Glen Cove, died on Nov. 27, 2001. Born in Mandal, Norway on Sept. 13, 1908, he was lifetime member of The Sons of Norway and The Carpenters Union. Husband of more than 61 years to Ingjerd. Father of Thomas (Lena), Lloyd (Cathy) and Arleen (Bill). Grandfather of John, Kari, Julia, Aaron, Anna and Elisa. Kathleen Malone Healy, of Old Westbury, died on Dec. 1, 2001. Wife of the late John M. Mother of Margaret E. and Kathleen Healy-Gillen (Michael). Daughter of Michael J. James A. McDonough, formerly of Glen Cove, died on Dec. 3, 2001, in Fort Wayne, IN. He was 84. A resident of Glen Cove for over 50 years, he was an electrical engineer and manager at AIL Systems in Deer Park from its founding in 1945 until his retirement in 1989. He had the distinction of being the last of the original engineering staff at AIL to retire. During WWII, he worked on scientific projects for the US Division of War Research at Columbia University. His wife, Florence, died in June. He is survived by his daughter, Vivian Temte, and grandson, Eric, both of Ft. Wayne; and sister, Eileen Swanson of Northbrook, IL. Arrangements were made by the D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home, Ft. Wayne. Services and interment Ft. Wayne. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
