It is truly time for us to come together in regard to the erosion of our communities. There is a severe drug trafficking problem. Drug dealers are standing on corners of public housing authority complexes in the daylight. The dealers are selling narcotics to our children, families and friends.

Children are growing up in an unsafe environment. The children should not have to dodge racing cars that ignore "children playing" signs. The Orchard and The Hill have been burdened with these deadly matters. The two areas that are mentioned are filled with minority children that deserve to have a promising future, without the influence of drug dealers and disorderly people trying to rob them of the most important thing-their life.

If anyone is withholding information that would put an end to such vile conduct they are sending a message of approval.

To the new mayor of Glen Cove: I hope during your term serving as mayor you will address this ongoing matter.
