On Aug. 21, the Glen Cove Planning Board unanimously passed a resolution recommending the city council give the board a directive to study the Orchard neighborhood "with an eye" toward recommending zoning code amendments. The planning board believes that changes to the zoning district in the Orchard would be a benefit to the community at large. The need for a look at the Orchard's zoning was illustrated by an application before the board for a public hearing that same evening. FULL STORY
