On Monday, July 16 we said our sad farewells to Julia McCue, our dear friend and neighbor. A Mass of Christian burial was said at St. Patrick's Church, Glen Cove and burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Brookville. An escort of the Glen Cove Police Department aided by Brookville Police Department paid tribute to Julia for her many community involvements, and she was also a school crossing guard for many years in the Glen Cove school system. In her career she crossed many children and also their parents.

Julia was a very dedicated person, devoted sister and aunt and a very special person to all the children in the neighborhood. She touched the lives of many in her life and will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and good deeds. She will be greatly missed.
