Lightning Auto Cobras 11, Giambrone Sandgnats 6 (1st game)

Highlights: Michael Anzalone, Peter Grabowski, Jabbar Morales and Chris Hehn had three hits apiece as key defense plays were made by Anzalone and Taheem Vasquez.

Cobras 16, Mudcats 10

Highlights: Grabowski and Jabbar Morales homered as Brandon O'Brian and Antoni Loviglio had key hits in the sixth inning. Hehn added three hits for the Cobras who advance to the World Series.

Cobras 20, Bees 8

Highlights: Brandon O'Brian's first hit of the year doubled home two runs in the Cobra's win. Vasquez, Pietro LaFortezza, Morales and Grabowski had three hits apiece.

Anker Electric Bees 19, Basile Limousine Raptors 5

Highlights: John Bellock, Kenny Quinjano (two homers), Denis O'Regan and Brian McDonald combined for 17 hits in the Bees' playoff win. The Bees also scored four runs twice with two outs.

Gazette Lookouts 17, Fairview Storm 6

Highlights: Owen Valance homered twice and Jim Milano added a homer in the Gazette Lookouts win over the Storm. Christopher Theodorou and Valance played great defense.

Mudcats 10, Zavaro Rockhounds 9

Highlights: Patrick McCabe had nine assists in the field as the Mudcats won a squeaker over the Rockhounds.

Regular Season - Eric Telese, Theodorou and Valance (two homers) homered as the Lookouts beat the Finn Chiropractic Diablos, 19-11...Tom Cammissa, Cruz Rosario and Danny Grabowski continued with clutch hitting in the Ateco Sea Dogs 13-9 win over the Waste Management Mudcats. Cameron Bisca and Milo Duchnowski (six RBI and a homer) each had four hits as Christian Ring played a flawless defense...The Mudcats rallied in the bottom of the sixth to beat the Fairview Storm, 10-9. The Mudcats offense was led by Patrick McCabe (four hits), Mark Ermmarino (three hits), Nicky Manzione, Blaise Dennis, Kevin Martinez, Joe Calamusa, Sean Cuniff (two hits apiece) and Derek Maruca (triple).

Rotary Braves 6, McCarthy's Deli Angels 5

Highlights: The Angels who had been leading throughout the game lost to the Braves in the bottom of the seventh. Manuel Aguilar delivered a key two-run single. Nate Brady made several key plays at second base for the Angels.

Angels 14, Deveau Rockies 10

Highlights: The Angels upset the first place Rockies on excellent hitting by Mike Weber (four hits, four RBIs) and Kyle Hansen. Hansen, Alexander Goldson and Mike Lucarelli on the mound, allowed only five runs in six innings. Defensive stars for the Angels were Cavese, Syris Barnes and Mike Benvenuto.

Angels 14, Protech A's 8

Highlights: Tom Cavese threw out two runners attempting to steal as Anthony McCarthy made great plays at shortstop in the Angels' first winning playoff game.

Braves 11, Valley Sports Cardinals 6

Highlights: Thomas Anzalone fanned eight batters en route to his team's win. Bobby Magnuson had two hits and three RBIs, Bryan Hehn had three hits while Patrick Cook scored three runs for the Braves.

Charles Pirates 16, Gold Coast Automotive Marlins 7

Highlights: The bottom part of the Pirates batting order fueled the Pirates' offense. Patrick Shaughnessy (five RBIs) and Stefan Schwartz were 3 for 3 as Wilfredo Crespo and Pantro Reyes both doubled. Reyes also helped his own cause when he came in relief and shut out the Marlines for the last three innings. Steven Nassani also pitched well, giving up only two runs in three innings.

Regular Season: The Angels came from behind, 5-0, to win 6-5, over the Forest White Sox. Mike Weber had the game-winning hit and RBI in the bottom of the eighth. Alex Golson, Mike Lucarelli and Kyle Hansen shut down the White Sox for six innings as Nate Brady made two great catches on line drives.

Maccarone Plumbing Indians 7, Cove Ice Cream Dodgers 4 (11 innings, 1st game)

Maccarone Plumbing Indians 4, Cove Ice Cream Dodgers 3 (second game)

Highlights (first game): Kevin Maccarone tied the score in the seventh for the Indians and drove in the winning run in the 11th on a single, scoring John Dzakonski. Kevin Basile and Christian Works knocked in the two insurance runs after Maccarone's single. Maccarone, Gabby Lebron and Omar Morales only allowed two hits in the game as all four Dodger runs were unearned.

Highlights (second game): The Indians won the World Series as Basile knocked in Maccarone and Lebron home to win the game. Maccarone and Basile had two hits apiece as John Rose, Dzakonski and Brian Merrick were outstanding in the field.

Highlights: John Perrone's single knocked in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the State Farm Braves a simi-final win over the PBA Cubs to advance to the World Series. Bill Melillo tied the game for the Braves in that same inning, scoring Mike Maher.

Black Hawk Rangers 16, Sal Paolillo Braves 11

Highlights: The Rangers won their fifth consecutive game to reach the World Series. Kelley Harrison struck out eight batters as Emily Leahy closed out the game with two strikeouts in the seventh. Leahy, Harrison, Chris and Ali Sorrento and Nicole Guarino combined for eight hits in the game.

Mayfair A's 11, Blacarski Blue Jays 7

Highlights: The A's broke a 6-6 tie with a five-run fifth inning. The A's offense was led by Angelica Lamberson (3 for 3), Brittany Cavese (two-run single) and Nina Jimenez (two triples).

Glen Floors Cardinals 23, Protech Angels 17

Highlights: Lauren O'Rourke was 4 for 5, with a walk, Jessica Deana Tate was 3 for 5, Christina McDonald, Sinthis Soto and Brittlyn Losee combined for nine hits in 14 at-bats. Jamie Pascucci, Christy Capobianco and Samantha Ceglia pitched well for the Cardinals.

Mayfair A's 13, Glen Floors Cardinals 1 (first game)

Highlights: Bianca Pisano got the ball rolling with a three-run homer in the first and the A's never looked back. Theresa Lucarelli shutout the Cardinals for the first three innings until allowing the game's only run in the fourth. Pisano and Tiffany McCauley had three hits apiece. Samantha Catanzano had two hits, scored three runs and drove in two runs. The cardinals lead the series, 1-0.

Regular Season - Ann Brady and Aileen Schvartzbart broke a 14-4 tie in the top of the seventh to put the Blue Jays ahead to stay, 18-14, over the Graziosi Bros. Orioles. The Blue Jays had a 11-0 lead, but the Orioles came storming back to tie...The Angels beat the Blue Jays, 16-15 as Laura Brady, Kaila Rivera, Amanda Nadeau led the Angels offense. Kristine Pilla kept the Blue Jays at bay with two strong innings. Brady at third base and Salia Calinda at shortstop made great defensive plays that stopped two potential Blue Jays rallies. Jessica and Michelle Peet, and Erin Merkel led the Jays attack as Kim Kessel had two solid innings on the mound for the Blue Jays.

Pall Dodgers 12, K of C Mets 0

Highlights: Sam Renison, Courtney McCord and Stefanie Folan had two hits apiece as Aja alter pitched a shutout for the Dodgers. Ingrid Sanchez played great defense at second base.
