Gertrude Gould, of Sea Cliff, died on June 23, 2001. Gertrude worked for many years and retired from the NC Dept. of Social Service. When she wasn't working at her job, she was working on improving her community by being active in numerous organizations. Gertrude was involved in The Salvation Army Women's Group, the Sea Cliff Ambulance Fund, Sea Cliff Senior Action Committee, Docent of the NC Museum of Art as well as a voting inspector. She was very eager to learn and was known for her great love of animals and generosity by donating to various charities. Gertrude loved life, people and music and especially dancing; her favorite quote was "Dance like no one is watching." She is survived by her husband Harvey and daughter Sharon Galvin.
