There were many postponements of baseball and softball games last week due to the will of Mother Nature which will be made up later in the season. Here are the following results of games that were played last week.

The Atlas Rattlers beat the Fairview Storm 21-14, on hitting by George Beglin, 4 for 4 (homer and six RBIs); Marty Carmody (4 for 4), Andrew Trakakis and Nicholas Pappachristou (both 4 for 5)...Christopher Saperstein who had already hit two doubles, hit a base hit up the middle to score Jonathan Fiorino from third in the bottom of the seventh in the Rattlers' 13-12 win over the Anker Electric Bees. Joseph Fabian was 3 for 3 as Leshawn Parker was 2 for 3. Andrew Trakakis and George Beglin also had two base hits which included a double...Joe Pezza and John Quigley were the hitting stars for the Giambrone Sandgnats in its 12-9 win over the Ateco SeaDogs. Jim Giambrone made a great play at shortstop for the Sandgnats...The Sea Dogs then rebounded with an 11-8 win over the Finn Chiropractic Diablos on Christian Ring's 3 for 3 hitting with two homers. Cameron Bisca added a homer as Milo Duchnowski was also 3 for 3. Danny Grabowski had three assists at second base...Shant Kouyoudian was the fielding star in the Lightning Auto Cobras 18-9 victory over the Diablos with a great catch in left field. Jabbar Morales and Taheem Vasquez had four hits apiece while Peter Grabowski and Pietro LaFortezza collected three hits apiece for the Cobras.

Sam Dudley, John Rossi and Tom Renison played great defense in the Testa Orioles 14-1 loss to the Rotary Braves...Great defense by Tom Daneglis, Domenick Brasiello and Armen Kouyoudijan kept the Orioles in the game despite their 20-5 loss to the Charles Pirates.

The Warga P & H Mariners beat the Corallo & Corallo Athletics, 10-8, on the hitting of Tomy Trotta (fifth inning triple), Roberto Lyons (2 for 3) and Luis Cruz (2 for 4 with a double). Mariners leftfielder Eddie Calderon made a game saving diving catch in the bottom of the seventh to end the game and ensure the Mariners' win...The Chamber of Commerce Pirates had a 17-hit game to beat the Mariners, 14-5. Joe Tetta was 2 for 2 as Edwin Hueca had two hits and collected four RBIs...The Fire Dept. Phillies beat the Pirates 6-4, as starter Raul Vasquez fanned six batters in four innings. Vasques helped his own cause with an RBI triple and stealing home in the first inning. Vasquez and Robbie Gross also combined for a bases-loaded third-inning double play for the Phillies. Jonathan Dzakonski's base running, Kevin Massarone and Kevin Basile's clutch hitting (two hits and two RBIs each) and pitching by Gabby Lebron and Maccarone gave the Maccarone Plumbing Indians a 5-4 win over the Cove Ice Cream Dodgers in the battle for first place in the Junior Boys Division. The Indians are currently 7-2.

Bruce Testa netted his first save of the season, shutting down the Yankees' potent offense in his two no-hit innings in the Sons of Italy Cardinals' 13-6 win over the Telstar Yankees. PJ Cuomo, Testa, Anthony Bellock and Antony Mateo were 2 for 3 for the Cardinals. Brian Martone earned his third win as the Cardinals' starting pitcher...Tim Brady hurled a perfect game in the PBA Cubs' 10-0 win over the Elks Club Mets. Sage Chevins collected three hits and three RBIs...The Cubs then beat the A-1 Tree Spraying A's 13-1 as Brady won his fifth game of the season. Jose Lebron collected three hits and David Levine walked twice, stealing two bases...The Cubs increased its record to 7-1 as the team beat the Telstar Yankees, 8-7. Lebron's double won the game for the Cubs in the bottom of the seventh with two outs. Chris Jenny had four hits, including two doubles.

Cassandra Napoli, Larissa McPhie and Morgan McDonald collected four hits apiece as Laura Maziejka had two hits in the Sorenson Storm's game vs. The Grander Rockhounds. Marissa Garner and Jessica Granger both were 4 for 4 and four RBIs apiece for the Rockhounds. Brianna Irvine made three put outs at first and Sabrina Menopoli made two put outs at third base for the Rockhounds. Kaitlin Asyam, Alexandra Gerin and Victoria Gill were the hitting stars for the T & S Greenjackets in their contest vs. The YMCA Buzz.

The Telstar Diamondbacks won two out of its three games during the last week. The Diamondbacks first beat the Brookville PT Orioles 25-6. Kristin Cornelius hit a grand slam and accumulated eight RBIs as she also struck out 11 batters in four innings. Danielle Fabian had three runs scored and Lauren Capobianco was on base three times. The Diamondbacks then lost a squeaker to the Paolillo Braves, 11-10. Jaclyn Kotowski was on base three times with a run scored and Ashley Casale had five assists at second base. Joanna Gentile also made a great stop in the outfield and Charlotte Areiu had a key hit for two RBIs. Jenna Moglia allowed no runs over three innings with six strikeouts and Jacqueline Folan great defense as the Diamondbacks beat the Braves in a second game 7-1.

The Graziosi Bros. Orioles edged out the Glen Floors Cardinals 11-10 on a four inning, five-strikeout game by Aileen Sloane. Sloane helped her own cause with two homers, a single and four RBIs. Other hitting stars were Brianna Townsell (three singles, two RBIs), Patricia Mele (two singles, two RBIs), and Sara Graziosi (two singles, a double and two RBIs).

Stephanie Folan was 5 for 5 with four singles and a double and Aja Alter hurled a complete game with 10 strikeouts in the Pall Corp. 12-4 win over the K of C Mets. Courtney McCord added a home run for the undefeated Dodgers (7-0-1). Testa Landscaping beat the Mets 12-10.
