Long-time Glen Cove resident Tony Cangero was recently inducted into the Eastern New York Soccer Hall of Fame, honoring him for his many years of dedication to amateur soccer. Cangero, former proprietor of AC Stationery in Glen Cove and Sea Cliff, has previously been inducted into the Glen Cove Hall of Fame and was named a life member of The Long Island Soccer Football league in 1982. He has been affiliated with the Glen Cove Soccer Club for 35 years and is currently the president of the Long Island Soccer Football League.
