We have a school district that works from fairly well to very well, depending on your opinion. It is sized to meet the community's educational needs and provides an infrastructure to deliver educational services to our children. Creating another "school system", a charter school, is only going to increase costs and the size of the infrastructure. We should be looking for ways to reduce costs and improve our educational services, including looking at other school districts in the area to combine costs, not build a new school infrastructure labeled a "charter school".

Why create another school; a "private school" at taxpayers' expense?

Don't attack our school system from the outside. Let's join together to improve our schools so that they meet your children's needs. Keep your school tax dollar in the Glen Cove school system and stop charter schools from diverting and draining our money and children from the Glen Cove school system. Let us all work with what we have!
