On June 29 the Glen Cove Comanches took on The Baymen "B" team. Kevin McGuire on the hill for the first time this season. McGuire picked up his first win pitching three innings with three k's allowing two hits 0 runs, in a 10-0 Comanche's win. Giuseppe Gallizzi came on to pick up the save going two innings fanning five allowing one hit. Danny Matuzak had a single and double with two RBI's. Robert Tartaro chipped in two hits adding three RBI's.

On July 8 the Comanches took on the hard hitting Brooks Bombers in a double header with Ricky Garcia on the mound. In game 1 Glen Cove won a close one, 6 to 3. Garcia had 8 k's giving up seven hits for his second win of the season. Drew Isaacson belted his seventh homerun a 2 run, 300 foot blast over the center field fence. Richie Nelson added two hits with two RBI's. Donnie Daniels had two hits with a RBI. Dan Matuzak and Ricky Garcia chipped in two hits in the boys 13 hit attack. Krist Osborne playing a strong center field, had a hit.

In game 2 Kevin McGuire picked up his second win of the season striking out seven in the sixth inning. Ricky Garcia went 4 for 4 with a solo homerun over the scoreboard, his first along with two RBI's. It was a Comanche's 11-6 win. Danny Matuzak's single and double two RBI's, Donnie Daniels' two hits, two RBI's, Paul Casale's single RBI were the key hits in the game. Frank Carrotta's single and double added insurance. Robert Tartaro came in relief to face three batters striking out two. To pick up the save Tartaro was on base all three times with a hit. The Comanches were trailing 6 to 5 in the sixth but pulled together. Like always the Comanches are now 10-1 still in fourth with half the season done.
