Players, coaches and families have praised Austin's and Kormoski's jobs in the tournament's organization.

After a hard-fought series, the Old Brookville Physical Therapy's A's defeated the Telstar Phillies, two games to one.

In the final game, played Thursday, June 22, the A's beat the Phillies, 12-8, behind great pitching by Victoria Garcia (four innings) and Theresa Lucarelli (three innings).

Anne Brady, Lauren Wagler, Melissa Minopoli and Christine Zanini each had multiple hits for the A's in the series finale.

This game followed the two previous series games which were also nail-biters with the A's taking game 1, 16-10 behind nine RBIs by Gianna Viliotti (three doubles).

Asley Slaght and Kayla Herman also added great offense as Lucarelli pitched four no-hit innings to earn the win.

Game 2 went to the Phillies despite a late-inning rally by the A's which fell short wasting fine performances by Nicole Cunniff, Kristine Pilla and Kelsea Valance.
