On Monday, June 5, at the Crest Hollow Country Club, six players from Glen Cove's Varsity Softball team received their County Awards from the Nassau County Softball Coaches' Association. At the 17th Annual Awards Dinner, Amber Abrams gave the Player's Reflection Address to the 700-plus audience of players, coaches, families and officials. This was Glen Cove softball's best year for awards with Amber and Joanna Moccia receiving All-County, Kristi Austin and Joan Starkman receiving All-Conference and Stepehanie Graziosi and Michelle DeJesus receiving All-Division.

Seniors and Co-Captains Amber Abrams and Kristi Austin were selected for the Senior All-Star game and Amber was honored as a Senior Scholar Athlete. The entire team won distinction as a NYS Scholar-Athlete Team. The Coaches Association also presented Marilyn Abrams with a Special Award in appreciation of her service to Nassau County Softball for her production of the Dinner Journal for the past two years.
