Sea Cliff Files Notice of Appeal
The Sea Cliff Village Board met Monday, May 1, on the lower level of Village Hall as the North Shore Environmental Alliance met on the second floor. Mayor Claudia Moyne began the meeting by reading from a prepared statement regarding the failed lawsuit against the Glen Cove ferry.

Catch the Rising Stars at Finley Middle School
Many of us in the Glen Cove community will agree that the Finley Middle School PTA's Project Strive Rising Stars program is long overdue. It should have been a part of the Glen Cove school district's educational experience for children a long time ago and, thanks to the commitment of a group of parents and educators it has, indeed, become a reality.

Vikings Keep Sliding
North Shore men's varsity lacrosse has continued to have on- going problems with their season this year. Last week North Shore played Friends Academy, which is seeded one place higher then North Shore. North Shore had made it a point that they were to defeat rival Friends Academy. However, North Shore was not able to score when it was needed late in the game. This ended in an 8-5 loss to Friends Academy.

Older Swimmers Star in State Championships
The recent three-day NY State Masters Swim Championships at the Nassau County Aquatics Center saw the down-staters dominate, and the older age groups harvest the lion's share of the gold. With over 330 men and women competing at the center, all areas of New York and several neighboring states were represented as well as a team from Belarus, Russia.
