Joan Sobel, 63, formerly of Glen Cove, died on April 11, 2000. She was a housewife. She was born on Dec. 13, 1936 in Jamaica, NY, daughter of the late Michael Falk. She is survived by her mother Gertrude (Meltzer) Falk; her husband, Stuart of Stamford, CT; children Laura Levitan, Karen Kaplan and Jonathan Sobel; and nine grandchildren.
