He was associated with McKinsey and Company and was former president of the American Marketing Association. He was a member of the Baptist Church in the Garden. Husband of Mary. Father of Kathy Davis and Sarah Halliday. Grandfather of Christopher, Susannah and Rebekah Davis and Racho Pino (Jimmy), Andrew Halliday (Sarah) and Melisssa Halliday. Great-grandfather of Rebecca and Lucas Pino and Devon Halliday. Arrangements were made by the Whitting Funeral Home, Glen Head. Thomas M. Montgomery, of Glen Head formerly of Whitestone, died on April 14, 2000. He was a lieutenant for Truck Company #104, FDNY, Brooklyn. He was a member of the Glenwood Fire Company. Husband of Mimi. Father of Thomas and Christian. Son of Thomas and Aloysia. Son-in-law of Maria Frisoni. Brother of Joseph, Robert, Maryellen, Eileen and Theresa. Arrangements were made by the Whitting Funeral Home, Glen Head. Funeral Mass at St. Boniface Martyr Church. Interment Locust Valley Cemetery. Joan Sobel, 63, formerly of Glen Cove, died on April 11, 2000. She was a housewife. She was born on Dec. 13, 1936 in Jamaica, NY, daughter of the late Michael Falk. She is survived by her mother Gertrude (Meltzer) Falk; her husband, Stuart of Stamford, CT; children Laura Levitan, Karen Kaplan and Jonathan Sobel; and nine grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, Stamford. Service at Temple Beth El, Stamford, with Rabbi Joshua Hammerman and Cantor Sidney Rabinowitz officiating. Jeanne Ferguson, 57, of Hicksville, died on April 18, 2000. She worked at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church. Wife of James. Mother of Patrick Dierson. Stepmother of Karen and Kevin Ferguson. Daughter of the late Frank Dierson and Marie Kelly. Sister of Mary Galantich, Sister Regina, OSC, and Thoams Dierson. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Viewing at the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, 125 Old Country Rd., Hicksville, Thursday and Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. Blessing at 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church, Hicksville. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
