The Glen Cove Board of Education met on Feb. 28 in the Finley Middle School. Interim Superintendent Dr. Elliot Garfinkel introduced the proposed 2000-2001 school budget, a working document which can change many times until it is adopted. The assistant to the superintendent for business, Frank Fiumano, provided an overview and the dates of budget workshops as the budget's three major components are considered. The components and dates are Program and Instruction, (March 13); Personnel, (March 20); Non-instructional, (March 27). April 10 has been set aside should another workshop be necessary.
