New Legislation for One and Two Family Houses
The Glen Cove City Council voted unanimously to approve new legislation requiring absentee landlords to register their one and two family rental properties in Glen Cove. The new law also requires the building department to conduct biannual inspections following the registration of the rental properties.

Glen Cove's Big Red varsity basketball team went on the road last Wednesday to battle a tough Bellmore JFK team. It was a slow start as the Cougars held down the Big Red offense by using multiple zone defenses, the tactic helped the Cougars hold the Big Red to 26 points in the first half. But Glen Cove came out for the second half in their full court press to up-tempo the pace of play the Big Red took a 49-33 lead. Doing the damage for the Big Red in the third quarter were Todd Johnson with 8 points and Allan Seaman with 7 points to lead the 23-point third quarter.
