Suozzi Administration Focuses on Clear Vision
On Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, Thomas R. Suozzi launched an unprecedented fourth consecutive term as mayor of Glen Cove embraced by family and friends in City Hall. The Hon. Joseph A. Suozzi, a retired justice of the NY State Appellate Division and Supreme Court and former mayor of Glen Cove was joined in delivering the oath of office by his brother, the Hon. Vincent A. Suozzi, who served as mayor of Glen Cove for 11 years. The members of the city council were sworn into office by City Court Judge Joel Meirowitz.

Brian Muellers Takes Oath of Office
Nassau County Legislator Democrat Brian Muellers, (18th District), was administered the oath of office on Jan. 3 as dignitaries, officials, friends and family watched the historic moment unfold at the third induction ceremony for the County Legislature at Nassau Community College. Legislator Muellers, who lives in Glen Cove, was elected to the Legislature last November.

Big Red Wrestlers Pin Title
On Wednesday, Dec. 29 the Glen Cove High School Booster Club sponsored the second annual Glen Cove Holiday Wrestling Tournament. The tournament involved over 200 wrestlers from 12 different schools from Nassau, the Bronx and Westchester. The Big Red had 11 wrestlers place in the tournament out of the 15 weight classes and clinched first place overall!
