The Glen Cove Board of Education invites all city residents to an open meeting on Jan. 6, 8 p.m. at the Glen Cove High School cafeteria. Dr. Richard Lerer, an expert consultant retained by the board to assist in the search for a new superintendent of schools, will explain his role and function in the process. Residents are urged to express their feelings on what they see as being key issues facing the Glen Cove School District that will need to be addressed by the new superintendent. Residents will also be given the opportunity to state the level of experience and personal characteristics the new superintendent should possess.

To ensure uninhibited dialogue, the members of the board of education and school administration will not attend the meeting.
