  • NEWS: School District Takes Legal Action Against County

    On Nov. 9, in an attempt to stop the inequity of real estate tax certiorari payments by Glen Cove taxpayers, the Glen Cove School District filed suit against Nassau County. In the suit, the district claims the county's tax policy is arbitrary and capricious and discriminates against the city's taxpayers. Glen Cove is the only school district of 56 public school districts in Nassau County which pays its own tax certiorari settlements. FULL STORY

    Last Sunday, the Pee Wee Cardinals traveled to Brentwood in search of their sixth win of the season in order to secure a playoff berth. The Cards went out on defense, first stopping the Warriors in their tracks. The defense made some great plays led by Jesse "meathooks" Martino, Dan Belfiore, Nate Booth, Zachary Boyajian, Chris Borer, Terry Jackson, Zachary Rubin, Connor Conway, Doug Tripp, Thomas Montefusco, Jesse Herman, Peter Cappiello and Richie Maccarone.   • SPORTS: Big Red Extinguishes Dragons, 39-0

    The Glen Cove Varsity Football Team clinched its 2nd consecutive playoff berth this past Saturday as they defeated Westbury High School 39-0. The team ends the regular season with 6 wins and 2 losses, scoring 187 points and giving up only 81. The 81 points against is half the total from last year's championship season. FULL STORY
