    On Jan. 1, 2000 Thomas Suozzi will be at Glen Cove's helm embarking on an unprecedented fourth consecutive term as mayor. Suozzi, who garnered over 63 percent of the vote, will be joined on the city council by the entire Team Glen Cove slate which includes two political novices. FULL STORY

  • NEWS: Two 'Shots Fired' Incidents in Glen Cove

    On Friday, Oct. 29, at about 8:50 p.m. the Glen Cove Police Department received a call of "shots fired" at Lee Gray Court. Sergeant Patrick Hall, who was in the area, arrived on the scene almost immediately. The shooter had fled in a vehicle with three other males. Sgt. Hall interviewed witnesses who stated that an argument between two men resulted in one of them pulling out a pistol and firing shots into the air. A description was procured and a few minutes later Officers Chris Grella and Robert Schlee observed a vehicle fitting the description of the subject vehicle. FULL STORY

    The Glen Cove JV Football team improved its record to 5 wins - 2 losses this past Saturday with a hard-fought 26 - 13 win over the Clarke Rams. Ivan Rivera threw three touchdown passes. Ceasar Flores, Londell Wheeler and Tim Jackson each had one touchdown reception and Richard Tarver had a brilliant 80-yard touchdown run to cap the game with 1:13 left in the fourth quarter!     The Pee Wee Cardinals got back to their winning ways by beating West Islip, 30-20. This marked the first time the Pee Wee Cardinals had beaten a team from West Islip. Great defensive games were played by Brian Merrick, Jesse Martino, Richie Maccarone, Zachary Rubin, Zachary Boyagian, Daniel Belifore, Peter Cappiello, Jesse Herman, Thomas Montefusco, Kyree Washington, Douglas Tripp and Connor Conway.
