  • NEWS: City Ponders Catering to Parking

    Prior to addressing their agenda, Mayor Thomas Suozzi and the city council heard public comments regarding the abandonment of South Street and the widening of the Pulaski Street Extension. This is part of a deal, two years in the making, which includes the sale of Eisenstadt's and the property upon which the OTB stands, as well as the sale of the municipal parking lot between OTB and Eisenstadt's. The deal has pitted the owners of The Metropolitan catering establishment against the proposed developers regarding the elimination of the municipal parking lot which is used to meet the parking needs of The Metropolitan.
