From Polish, Russian and Ukrainian folk music to American country music, this is a doubleheader weekend at Morgan Park.

On Saturday, Aug. 22, at 8:15 p.m., Professor Vera Von Wiren-Garczynski, director of the Slavic American Cultural Association will present a program of music and dance, featuring Regina Kujawa and Richard Kudrys on the accordion, the Hejnal Polish Folk Dancers and The Slavic United Artists Ensemble.

On Sunday, Aug. 23 at 8:15 p.m., Country With a Kick, the music of Six Gun. A blend of original, top 40 Country, Bluegrass and Southern Rock. Featuring Joe Spena-lead vocal and guitar; George Bitzer-keyboards and vocals; Larry Federman-lead guitar and vocals; Carolyn Dutton-fiddle; Ed Jennings-bass guitar; and Pete DeSalvo-drums, percussions and vocals.

These weekly, free concerts are brought to you by the efforts of an all-volunteer committee and the continued generous support of benefactors, patrons and friends of Morgan Park Summer Music Festival.

Bring chairs or blankets, a picnic if you wish. In case of inclement weather, the Saturday performance will be held at St. Hyacinth's Parish Hall on Cedar Swamp Road in Glen Cove and the Sunday evening performance will be held at St. Patrick's Parish Hall, Pearsall Avenue, Glen Cove, in the event of rain.
