  • NEWS: Taste it During Americas' Sail at Morgan Park

    On June 24, Glen Cove's Mayor Thomas Suozzi hosted a Gold Coast Chowder Challenge at the site of the city's first waterfront restaurant- the Steamboat Landing at Jude Thaddeus Marina off Shore Road. Jeanine DiMenna, the chef at Page One Restaurant and Cabaret in Glen Cove, was judged the winner with her recipe for Glen Cove's Gold Coast Chowder. Coming in second was Chef Michaels from the Steamboat Landing Restaurant. Premier North Shore chefs vied for the honor of creating the recipe for the greatest chowder in the world, thereby breaking the stranglehold Manhattan and New England have on them. FULL STORY

    A little known secret in Glen Cove, outside of the soccer community, is the success of the three men's soccer clubs. The three clubs - Glen Cove, Forest Park and Polonez - are affiliated with the Long Island Soccer League.
