The Glengariff Corporation and its owner, Michael D. Miness, have a filed a Notice of Appeal from the dismissal of their defamation lawsuit against the Glen Cove GOP committee. Glengariff and Mr. Miness brought the lawsuit during last fall's mayoral campaign charging that certain GOP campaign literature mailed to all Glen Cove residents contained false and defamatory statements. The 1998 North Shore Varsity Softball team hosted Carey on April 21. North Shore's first two runs were attained in the bottom of the fourth inning. Leading off the inning was Jen Lerch who got on base due to an error of Carey's. FULL STORY
