As reported in the New York Times of March 8, for the second year in a row the Glen Cove school district shows reading scores to be amongst the lowest of all Nassau County's school districts.

What is not going on here?!

The per pupil expense and class size are comparative with other school districts and the higher percentage of foreign born students in Glen Cove is factored into the evaluations, and thus should not be offered as a reason for the low performance rate.

When only 52 percent of students read at grade level and we show the lowest score in reading performance in any of the Nassau County school districts, we are not getting our money's worth as taxpayers.
