The Glen Cove BID is looking for rock, pop and jazz bands to submit demo tapes to the BID for promotions and events planned for 1998. The jazz (and/or blues) bands are intended to be coordinated into a month-long jazz series during the month of June in Village Square, at the intersection of School and Glen Streets.

To submit your band's information call the BID at 759-6970 or drop it by the office at 14 Glen Street.

Saturday, April 25, the city's Beautification Committee and the BID will participate in a town-wide cleanup at 9 a.m. Participants will gather again for lunch in the Village Square and enjoy the sounds of live music from noon-2 p.m. For information on the clean up, call Glen Cove Beautification at 676-5188.
