The Glen Cove Comanches had a successful week, winning both of their games and remaining in a tie for first place in the Hauppauge Winter Indoor League. On March 5, the team was locked in a close game with Playball Red until the fifth inning, when Glen Cove broke the game open for a 9-1 victory. Mark Czerniawski won his second game, tossing five strikeouts, with help from fellow pitchers Kevin McGuire (two innings, five strikeouts) and closer Tom Monahan, who struck out the side to earn his second save.

The offense had a field day on the base paths. All eight players had one or more steals that totaled a record 17 bases, including steals of home by Donnie Daniels (three hits, four stolen bases) and Paul Casale (three stolen bases). Gianluca Carrabs had two hits and two RBIs, while Frank Carrotta doubled off the wall. Richard Covino showed great hustle in the outfield to spark the defense.

March 10 saw the Comanches play a touch game with Massapequa-Barone, but Glen Cove prevailed, 2-1. The offense, led by Daniels (two hits, including a key bunt) and McGuire (two hits) had runners in scoring position in all six innings, but Massapequa's defense was great. Tommy Monahan struck out six and gave up one unearned run (a steal of home) on route to the victory, while teammate Mark Czerniawski allowed no runs in a six strikeout outing. The Comanches are sponsored by Concept Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
