The Recreation Department recently held its Annual Easter Egg Hunt, one of its most popular events of the year. It was a beautiful day and Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny welcomed everyone as parents and children headed excitedly to the egg hunt.
With unseasonably warm weather and bright blue skies overhead, hundreds of kids swarmed the fields of Community Park eagerly picking up candy and prize eggs.
Three special prize eggs were hidden among the candy and Easter eggs. The finders of these prize eggs received an Easter basket filled with goodies and certificates for free games of miniature golf. The grand prize baskets were won by Blaise Trapani in the first- and second-grade hunt, Ashley Lewis in the pre-K and kindergarten hunt and Hanna Daempfle in the third-, fourth- and fifth-grade hunt. Everyone had a great time, went home with a basket full of goodies and is looking forward to next year.
