Every summer, the Town of Hempstead’s Summer Concert Series, hosted by the Department of Parks and Recreation, brings talented musicians to perform at the town’s neighborhood parks. Our lineup this year features an exciting range of musical genres, from rock music and the sounds of the Caribbean to the swinging hits of the 1930s and ’70s disco classics.
Listed below are the free outdoor concerts taking place this July. All shows begin at 8 p.m. unless otherwise noted; and it is recommended that those planning to attend the concerts bring their own lawn chairs and beach blankets.
Tuesday, July 13 – Till Then and other classics of the ’50s and ’60s with Emil Stucchio & The Classics at Hewlett Point Park, Bay Park.
Wednesday, July 14 – Piece of the Rock relives the music of yesteryear with hits of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s at Coes Neck Park, Baldwin.
Thursday, July 15 – Goldilocks, New York’s hottest party band turns up the heat at Uniondale Avenue Park, Uniondale.
Friday, July 16 – Mike O’Brien & Storm Front, a Billy Joel Tribute Band in a New York State of Mind, at Seamans Neck Park, Seaford.
Tuesday, July 20 – Tribal Legacy plays party music and reggae at Terrace Gardens Park, Inwood.
Wednesday, July 21 – Back to back nights of Tribal Legacy as the party plays Dutch Broadway Park, Elmont.
Thursday, July 22 – Bad Medicine is Livin’ on a Prayer with a Bon Jovi Tribute at East Village Green, Levittown.
Friday, July 23 – Manhattan Skyline sings classic oldies at Forest Avenue Elementary School, Valley Stream.
Tuesday, July 27 – Wonderous Stories stages a British Invasion with music of the Beatles and the Who at Merrick Road Park, Merrick.
Wednesday, July 28 – Carolyn Harding performs a night of rhythm and blues at Roosevelt Pool, Roosevelt.
Thursday, July 29 – The Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra strings together some classic sounds at Oceanside Park, Oceanside.
Friday, July 30 — Knappertime has you movin’ and groovin’ to great rhythm and blues at Roosevelt Pool, Roosevelt.
