Best Wishes For A Happy And Healthy New Year

On behalf of myself and the board of trustees, I would like to extend to all village residents a very Happy and Healthy New Year.

Year-End Reminders

The second half of village taxes that were due and payable on Dec. 1, are subject to penalty if payment was not made within a 30-day grace period. This year payments received after Monday, Dec. 31, are subject to penalty. Please return the “second half” bill stub with your payment made payable to the Incorporated Village of Garden City.

Veterans Real Property Tax Exemption. The deadline for applications for Veterans tax exemptions was Dec. 31. Applications cannot be accepted after the close of business on that date.

Holiday Sanitation Schedule - New Year’s Week

Residents are reminded that there was no regular garbage or recycling pickup on New Year’s Day. Also, there was no rubbish pick up on Wednesday, Jan. 2. The holiday week collection is as follows:
Western half of village (West of Rockaway Avenue)
Garbage: Monday and Friday

Rubbish: Thursday

Eastern half of village (East of Rockaway Avenue)

Garbage: Wednesday and Saturday

Rubbish: Thursday

If your recycling day is on a Tuesday, your recycling pick up has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 8.

Board Of Trustees Meeting Schedule
