Every summer, the Town of Hempstead’s Summer Concert Series, hosted by the Department of Parks and Recreation, brings talented musicians to perform at the town’s neighborhood parks. Our lineup this year features an exciting range of musical genres, from the smooth sounds of Sinatra and classic rock to the Doo-Wop hits of the 1960s and the sounds of the Caribbean.
Listed below are the free outdoor concerts taking place this July. All shows begin at 8 p.m. unless otherwise noted, and it is recommended that those planning to attend the concerts bring their own lawn chairs and beach blankets.
Wednesday, July 13 – It’s a Hard Day’s Night as Liverpool Shuffle plays a Beatles Tribute at Forest City Park, Wantagh.
Thursday, July 14 – We Will Rock You with Almost Queen in a Queen Tribute at Seamans Neck Park, Seaford.
Friday, July 15 – Ants Marching performs a Dave Matthews Tribute with the hits Two Step and Crash Into Me at East Village Green, Levittown.
Tuesday, July 19 – Tribal Legacy brings those cool Caribbean sounds and melodies to Terrace Gardens Park, Inwood.
Wednesday, July 20 – Remembering Frank Sinatra with the music and memories of “Ol Blue Eyes” himself, stars Steven Maglio at Hewlett Pt. Park, Bay Park.
Thursday, July 21 – Wonderous Stories stages a British Invasion with music of the Beatles and the Who at Echo Park, West Hempstead.
Friday, July 22 – Randy and the Rainbows sing hits from the fabulous ’60s at Forest Road Elementary School, Valley Stream.
Tuesday, July 26 – Felita Rollins performs a touch of gospel at Coes Neck Park, Baldwin.
Wednesday, July 27 – Come Sail Away with Rockin’ the Paradise in a Styx Tribute at Merrick Road Park, Merrick.
Thursday, July 28 – Soul Doctor has you dancin’ the night away with spirited rhythm and blues at Uniondale Avenue Park, Uniondale.
Friday, July 29 – U4ouria sings gospel and jazz at Hendrickson Avenue Park, Elmont.
Sunday, July 30 – Vito & The Salutations with fireworks sponsored by the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce at 7:30 p.m. at Baldwin Park, Baldwin Harbor.
