Garden City police officers and firefighters responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident at 10th Street and Franklin Avenue Friday afternoon. The accident caused one minor injury; the subject was transported to the hospital via Nassau County Police Department ambulance.

Congratulations to 67-year-old Michael Ogazon and 60-year-old Jim Thornton, both of Garden City, who successfully completed the 9th annual "Six Hour Sixtieth Birthday Run" staged by the Greater Long Island Running Club at Sunken Meadow State Park on Sunday morning, Oct. 19.
