As I write this, the fence's green slats are being removed. Not all finished, but it seems the fight has been won. We can see the landscape once again.

I wanted to thank you and the Garden City Life for supporting both my efforts and the efforts of all who spoke up to get the town to enforce its building code. To enforce a code uniformly across all who have property within Garden City.

As an aside, the extra section on things to do on the Island is a winner. I would subscribe to Garden City Life for that alone. However, I would like to also mention that I particularly like the layout of the paper in covering Garden City and local news. It is easier to read than the other paper, which has become a real estate flier. I am sure though that the ad revenues would be an advantage to the Garden City Life.
