Sixteen-year-old Jacqueline Vincent, of Garden City, was walking with two friends in the early morning hours of Friday, June 22 when she tripped and fell on the electrified third rail while crossing the tracks at South and West Cherry Valley Avenues.

Boys' fall soccer registration is currently in progress. Players in grades K-6 who attend school or live in Garden City are eligible to participate. The season will run on Saturday afternoons from Sept. 8 to early November.
