The Nassau Regional EMS Council held an awards dinner at the Coral House in Baldwin to honor recipients of the annual EMS awards. The Council honored Daniel O'Keefe, EMT-P, of Stewart Manor with the EMS Leadership of the Year award for demonstrating outstanding leadership skills.

Centennial Soccer News
Registrations are still being accepted for the Centennial Spring Soccer Program. The program is open to girls entering kindergarten in September through ninth grade and boys entering kindergarten in September through sixth grade. Girls' games are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Boys play in the afternoon from 1 to 5 p.m.

Garden City Recreation Department News
The Garden City Recreation Department is proud to once again offer a roller hockey program this spring for Garden City residents. The spring program includes a league for ages 7-14 and a learn and play session for ages 5-6. Applications will be available for both programs at the recreation office in village hall beginning Feb. 2 and registration will officially begin then.
