The Property Owners' Association of Garden City Estates held their annual electors' meeting Tuesday, Jan. 16. At that meeting, the 15-member Nominating Committee presented to the residents their nominees for trustee positions, including village board trustee - John DeMaro - for a two-year term commencing April 2007. Residents, be advised that the Garden City Board of Trustees meeting, which was scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 1, has been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 8. The meeting will take place in the meeting room of the Garden City Library beginning at 8 p.m. There will also be a public presentation of the capital and preliminary operating budgets beginning at 7 p.m. that same evening in the meeting room of the Garden City Library. Runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes of all ages and levels of ability from Garden City and surrounding communities are invited to test their training and endurance levels by being a part of the 10th annual Lazer, Aptheker, Rosella & Yedid Kings Park 15 Kilometer Run.
